Is India paying price for not having strong opposition?

Folks... this is my first blog and I would like to take a dig at our esteemed opposition in the prestigious Parliament of India.

I was deeply perturbed by the way, things are dealt within the House. The issues are so simple but yet seem very complicated. For eg., the Shashi Tharoor and Modi spat. The so called Third Front rose the issue, obviously for some political mileage. Instead they could have gone for people's issues. They wasted near about a week on this nasty issue.

There is one topic that always revolves around the heads of the Opposition. If they do not have any other  things, they get back to this one and create nuisance. Can you guess that?????

It is the Price rise....!

Be it BJP, the Left or our Teesra front, everyone claims it is their issue.... except the Government. But where is this heading towards? Politically driven drama has no takers.  Is it really helping the people or it is just to show off people like Nitin Gadkari ,("hey ppl... look at us too... We are still alive. I am a national party president").  Creating huge public nuisance and apologizing, does it makes any sense? Just wasting public time and money for their private publicity.

Why is the BJP not taking a dig at the Centre on the Maoist issue..? Why is the left keeping mum about their "Laal Comrades".

Is it just because, Maoists are dwelling well in the NDA-led states? Or is it just that Congress dealt the issue well in AP where the Police chased away the Maos to the jungles of Orissa, Chattisgarh?

Or is it that West Bengal is growing as the hub for the Naxals???

Why is our Opposition not thinking and suggesting ways to tackle these problems..? Why the hell, they are creating non sense on senseless topics.

Well, the answer is Paisa and Politics go hand-in-hand...!!!

Yar, Your content is ok but i really do not agree with your accusition about weak opposition. The answer is simple. BJP thwarted PC for recent dantewada case but didnt asked him to resign as it would have boosted propaganda of maoist. can't talk of left. Infact there is one greater example of opposition unity is the recent case of nuclear liability bill, which was taken back in initial stage cause of stupid content and strong opposition. Cong has earliar been bullying opposition by not listening at all and weak and aged L.K.Advani. Now, with AJ and SS in charge.. oppositing is Thriving. Hope they get on getting stronger

Hi sravan good to see a blog from you. But I feel the same as Sudhanshu. Why thrive on the opposition when the power is in your hand? I see some major draw backs too. Don't you feel the price rise is really affecting the poor. The impact is felt by the poorer of the poor who depend on the ration at the government stores, who are getting a fraction of what they used to. Reckon those days when congress and left parties have torn apart the BJP govt in the days of Vajpayee. Onions almost tumbled the govt!!! Re-election on these issues costed 9000 croses!!!
And why should not Chitambaram be pulled to CJ, he being responsible for Dantewada not predicting the growing weaponry and force of the Naxals. When we are talking about the Naxals migrating from AP it is just because they are looking for shelter in under developed states like Chattisgarh and nothing to do with AP police force which has been quite weak and vulnerable.Of course I am not appreciating the opposition too as the life of our politicians has always been you live by pulling me, I live by pulling you, hence it all live and let live!!!

Thanx guys for ya comments...!!!

@Sudhanshu, I agree that oppn is united but is it anyway affecting ppl... Even Mayawati accuses Rahul but supported INC in the cut motion...! So, we really cannot believe anyone...! Watch out for my next blog on INC's opportunistic tactics...!

@vanamali, There is a way to deal things.. Creating a ruckus in the Capital's roads, is thata healthy way..? And the height is, he has apologized to the public.. If he is an experienced politician, he shpuld have known about the consequences..!

It is great to see u in the blogging world. But before blaming Naxals, we have to remember the dispossessed people. When companies like Vedanta engulf lands, thousands become homeless.

answer is simple dude, the BJP lacks good honest leaders..I am not supporting any party but BJP needs to try harder and bring in good honest hard working leaders to the top if they want to succeed in bringing about a change..its leaders lack seriousness and the ability to think beyond their saffron agenda... they need to broaden their thinking..
